Pattern: Broken Dishes Double Nine Patch

Details:
a visual treat of stripes and checks, this scrappy quilt is a delight
notice the fabrics within each of the miniature Broken Dishes patches, all set against a wonderful black-and-white ticking stripe (except for the one violator block, which has a plaid background!)
the background fabric is printed with tiny wheat-colored chains, like fields of harvest seen from a bird’s-eye view
the quilting is both fun and masterful, rendered in concentric circles that contrast beautifully with all of the triangles and squares in the patchwork
finished with an indigo trim dotted with white
washed by hand and in great condition, with just a few tiny, light residual marks as shown in the last photo, and a touch of residual discoloration in a couple places along the trim where she was handled (all quite negligible)

Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep.
