From the Flying Geese personal collection, a gorgeous thin and drapey indigo and cream calico beauty. This Shoofly quilt is made in a subtle yet varied selection of the prettiest calico fabrics — take a look at some of the closeup images to see the charming little prints. Turn her over for a lovely surprise — her back is made of an off-white fabric with tiny black dots. Pieced and quilted by skilled hands in the early 1900s, she’s in excellent condition, with only a few small and negligible hints of previous stains (hard to photograph, but see last photo). She has been washed by hand and is ready to become a keeper in your collection.
