an incredibly romantic quilt from the turn of the century in beautiful shades of cloud and sky
notice the subtle variety of blues on the front set against a background of dusty blue chambray, and the mix of striped shirtings used in each of the blocks
there’s nothing like a delightfully surprising back, and this one contrasts beautifully with the front with a marvelous pattern of rose clusters and ribbons
a soft and cozy piece
washed by hand and in great condition with just a few small spots of slight color loss and one tiny mark, all very negligible (see last photo)

Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep. They are imperfect, but their imperfections are charming to us and we hope you feel the same. They are reminders to us of their old age and the history to which they've been a witness.
