Provenance/Notes:
An exquisite smaller sized crib quilt from the 19th century, with a beautiful collage of fabrics, embellished with whimsical embroidery patterns
Notice the use of silks, satins and velvets and the special fabrics scraps used throughout
A lovely strippy double border frames the quilt. This piece is wonderful as a wall accent.
Maker/origin unknown
In good condition for age with a few fabrics that have some wear, as is usually the case with delicate old silks. But this does not detract from the piece visually
Measurements: 19” x 27”
