Love Entangled Quilt

$0.00
sold

Two or three times in my life I discovered love.
Each time it seemed to solve everything.
Each time it solved a great many things
but not everything.
Yet left me as grateful as if it had indeed, and
thoroughly, solved everything.

Mary Oliver / from Sometimes

It’s hard not to fall in love with this quilt, from her intricate quilting to her very pattern name! Within the perfectly laid blocks and beautiful lines of grid quilting, the assymetric placement of color is what makes her special. The three blocks with blue triangles on one side of the quilt are highlighted by the lovely indigo calico border. The heavy quilting gives this quilt a beautiful texture, and though about half of the blocks have fabric wear on her larger triangles, the myriad of stitches preserves the quilt’s integrity. She’s in excellent shape otherwise (a touch of discoloration to the white on a couple edge spots as is natural for white fabric of her age) and has been washed, hung to dry, and is ready to grace your space.

Measurements: 68” x 78”

PLEASE SELECT SHIPPING FOR QUILT ($20), NOT FOR A SMALL QUILT PIECE ($8). ORDER WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SHIP OTHERWISE.

All quilts come with a muslin tag noting any known history, and an archival Micron pen for you to add yours.

15% of profits from this sale will go towards the Tahiri Justice Center, a national non-profit organization that supports immigrant survivors of gender-based violence. See Tahiri.org for more on their work.

Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep. You can expect to see repairs made by later generations, fraying around the edges or in certain blocks, discoloration or yellowing, cotton/wool batting—or as we like to call them, tiny sheep—peeking through. They are imperfect, but their imperfections are charming to us and we hope you feel the same. They are reminders to us of their old age and the history to which they've been a witness. We try our best to note any imperfections, but it’s possible we might miss one here and there. Well-crafted, handmade antique quilts in their original form are becoming scarcer, and we believe it's vital that we preserve them and continue to love them, imperfections and all.

Because these quilts are one-of-a-kind and we are a tiny enterprise, we do not accept returns; please review all photos and the description carefully and ask any questions you may have prior to purchasing.
