a true heirloom beauty in an exquisite variation on the Feathered Star pattern, made by an incredibly skilled quilter
this quilt has everything you would want in an old quilt — a classic colorway in Turkey red and indigo blue against a cream, incredibly dense quilting (in most places only half an inch wide), tiny pieces in an elaborate and interesting pattern, and a soft and crinkly hand
a perfect touch of patina has developed over time, yet the colors have maintained their richness
notice the double border on the two longer edges
washed by hand and in great condition for her age, with just a few tiny places on the red fabric that are starting to show just a touch of wear, one little triangle with wear, and a slight bit of residual discoloration on what of the white patches (see last two photos)

Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep.
