Pattern: Four Patch

Details:
this scrappy Four Patch quilt just oozes charm and warmth!
the distribution of fabrics feels beautifully random, with little pops of bright green appearing in unexpected places
the background is a finely striped copper-toned madder, the back a woven checkered fabric in brown and cheddar
a great cheater print from the era was used to create a wide and distinctive border
notice the slightly wonky piecing along one of the longer edges, where the spacing of the Four Patch blocks begins to overlap and a couple of places where the squares become slightly “flattened”
the quilt has a slightly crinkly texture in places, likely where the piecing does not quite line up — all part of her charm!
washed by hand and in great condition for her age, with just a bit of wear along the edge in a few places and a couple of residual marks, shown at the bottom of the last photo (they appear more noticeable in the photos)
