An incredibly beautiful, heirloom quality quilt made in a wonderful shade of grasshopper green, this quilt brings the verdant light of the outdoors into your space
Each block is 4.5” wide, and 288 of them were pieced together to make this quilt
Take a look at some of the closeup iimages to appreciate the tiny, even stitching in the quilting
Though the batting isn’t thick, this quilt has a nice weight to it, in part due to the small size of the patches and the piecing and quilting involved
Maker/origin unknown
Washed by hand and in excellent condition with just a few very light residual marks as shown in the last photo, and a few places where seams have been reinforced (see top left image of last photo for example)
Measurements: 79” x 87”

Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep. You can expect to see repairs made by later generations, fraying around the edges or in certain blocks, discoloration or yellowing, cotton/wool batting—or as we like to call them, tiny sheep—peeking through. They are imperfect, but their imperfections are charming to us and we hope you feel the same. They are reminders to us of their old age and the history to which they've been a witness. Well-crafted, handmade antique quilts in their original form are becoming scarcer, and we believe it's vital that we preserve them and continue to love them, imperfections and all.
