An absolutely exquisite Log Cabin quilt rendered on a small scale in crib dimensions, this little piece is an incredible catalog of some of the prettiest 19th century fabrics
The blocks measure only 4.25” square, with the tiny red center square measuring about a 1/4” wide
The back is almost as beautiful as the front, with square patches of various madder prints along the two longer sides
A stunning piece to use to decorate a wall or add to your collection of littles
Maker/origin unknown
Washed by hand and in very good condition for her old age; she does have some residual water marks and smudges in places, but not very visible due to the darker tones of the quilt. A few of the tiny red centers have wear. See last photo.

Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep. You can expect to see repairs made by later generations, fraying around the edges or in certain blocks, discoloration or yellowing, cotton/wool batting—or as we like to call them, tiny sheep—peeking through. They are imperfect, but their imperfections are charming to us and we hope you feel the same. They are reminders to us of their old age and the history to which they've been a witness.
