Pink and Green Crow Quilt (SURPRISE!)

$0.00
sold

Pattern: Crow

Date: c. 1890-1900

Provenance/Notes:

  • Striking in pattern and sweet and delicate in her choice of fabrics, this Crow pattern quilt is a beauty.

  • The Crow pattern is almost identical to an Ohio Star, but with a different distribution of color.

  • From afar you notice the elegant contrast of the double pink and the black-grey; from up close you see that there are several different types of white calico used — one in the Crow blocks, another in the background, and yet a different one for the border.

  • The quilting is beautifully executed and gives the quilt a lovely texture, and the backing is a soft muslin.

  • Washed by hand and in overall very good condition with the exception of a handful of very light residual stains, which don’t stand out because of the calico prints (see last photo), and a tiny bit of wear to one corner.

Measurements: 72” x 74”

$20 flat rate shipping includes insurance coverage for the full purchase amount. Price for smaller items have been adjusted (lowered) to account for the lower shipping cost.

International customers: If you enter a shipping address outside of the US, you will not be charged for shipping upon checkout. A separate invoice will be sent once shipping is calculated. If you need a shipping estimate, please reach out ahead of time. Tax will be added only to Virginia state orders. Orders shipped to destinations outside of Virginia are not taxed.

15% of profits from every quilt sale in this next collection will go towards supporting the work of Safelight — an organization we are now supporting for the third year in a row. Safelight is a nonprofit agency in North Carolina that provides support for survivors of interpersonal violence, sexual assault and child abuse. For more, see www.safelightfamily.org
