Pattern: Ocean Waves

An Ocean Waves pattern rendered in an indigo calico will always be a classic beauty, and this one is an exquisitely executed one.
Hundreds of small triangles made from a beautiful indigo calico are pieced against a white background and then densely and finely quilted. Look at the 3/4” grid quilting in all the white spaces and the double rod quilting around the border.
A wonderful quilt to bring into your home as we head into the summer months.
This quilt has a great texture and a lovely thin drape.
Some fading of the indigo here and there gives her a lovely touch of patina.
Maker/origin unknown
In great condition for her age, with just one residual mark on the edge, a couple small open seams along two triangle edges, and some wear along one edge of the trim.
Measurements: 70” x 77”

Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep.
