Snowball Quilt
Pattern: Snowball
Date: c. 1900-1910
Provenance/Notes:
An incredibly charming and cozy iteration of the Snowball pattern, a fitting accent for winter but also fresh and graphic all year round
This quilt has a lovely primitive feel with a perfectly broken-in, soft hand.
Notice the tiny white bud print on the indigo fabric
Hails from the quilt collection of a prominent Northern Virginia estate; maker and origin unknown
A lightly stitched pole sleeve along one edge for hanging if desired (also easily removed)
Washed by hand and in great condition with just a negligible touch of residual discoloration in a couple places and light wear on parts of the trim (see last photo)
Measurements: 68” x 76”

Note on antique/vintage quilts: Many of the quilts we sell have been loved, slept under, washed, sunshine dried, taken on picnics, slept on underneath the stars, and lived lifetimes before arriving at our doorstep.
