Pattern: Double Irish Chain
Date: c. 1900-1910
Provenance/Notes:
The wide variety of indigo calicos used throughout this quilt make it a really beautiful iteration of a classic Irish Chain quilt
Beautiful quilting, densely executed given the slighter thicker nature of this quilt
From the collection of a prominent of a Northern Virginia estate; maker/origin unknown
Washed by hand and in excellent condition with just a couple very light stains and a few tiny light pinprick marks (see last photo)
A lightly stitched pole sleeve on back for hanging if desired (also easily removed)
Measurements: 69” x 81”
