Pattern: Pine Burr Variation with Eight Point Star Center
Date: c. 1880-1900
Provenance/Notes:
A stunning variation on a Pine Burr pattern with 8-point stars at the centers of the blocks, made with a beautiful 19th century black and red floral fabric
Extremely dense quilting throughout the quilt, with tiny grid quilting in much of the body and wonderful feathered details in the triangular spaces around the border.
Maker/origin unknown
Excellent condition with just a few very tiny residual marks (see last photo); washed by hand
Measurements: 67” x 77”
