Wreath of Roses Quilt
An absolutely stunning flower appliqué quilt from the late 1800s, with the kind of patina that you cannot replicate today. The turkey red, cheddar, and blue-green all have the prettiest touch of fading from her almost century and half of age. Her large scale wreaths set close together make her rich with color, and the little “flying roses” scattered in the in-between spaces give her a fun, whimsical charm. She would be beautiful on a bed, folded at the foot of one, or hanging on a chair or quilt rack, adding the prettiest splash of color to your space. She is in great condition for her age, with just the slightest bit of aging to her white fabric, but nothing at all that stands out. A few tiny little light stains, and a couple points of discoloration on one yellow flower. See photos (last one is of the back). Who will be this beauty’s lucky new owner?
